Bass Pro Wonders of Wildlife Museum--Trip
Aug 25, 2018My son Wade, loves to hunt and fish. He absolutely loves the outdoors. So, I thought it would be fitting to take him to explore the Wonders of Wildlife Museum in Springfield, MO.
We left early on a Saturday morning and set out for a three-hour drive.
I purchased our tickets online which made it easier, no lines and no fuss. I purchased the combo tickets which included the museum and the aquarium. It was not expensive and worth every dime.
I recommend both! This place is amazing and you will want plenty of time to see it all.
The museum made me feel like I was in the movie, "Night at the Museum" with Ben Stiller without the annoying monkey of course.
I recommend this family trip to anyone who loves the great outdoors.
Here are my travel tips.
#1. We lived close enough to make it a one day trip, but there are definitely enough things to do for two days.
#2. If you can avoid the weekend, there will be less of a crowd, however, our Saturday trip wasn't so bad.
#3. Make sure you have plenty of time to spend in each museum. It took us six hours to see everything including shopping in the store afterward.
#4. Walk slowly and take your time, there is so much to see, and at times, you will feel a little overwhelmed.
#5. Wear walking shoes. The entire museum and aquarium are well over a mile long walk and with a few stairs.
#6. Stop and watch the videos. They are amazing.
Finally, my personal opinion--"This place was truly remarkable. I loved everything about it."
