Family, Food, and Mom
May 14, 2018Mother's Day 2017 was a success.
Mom and Dad joined us for a special Mother's Day Sunday lunch. All three of my children were there and I was one happy Momma. Having all my family together makes me happy. My brother and mother-in-law dined with us as well.
I have a confession to make--I'm not a good gift giver. However, I do LOVE giving gifts. I'm just not good at picking them out, but the one thing I do know how to do is cook a meal.
Food has always been the center of any holiday in our family. I enjoy planning, preparing, and presenting a beautiful meal I know my family will enjoy...at least I hope they will.
Although things don't always go as planned, I have learned to smile and continue on. After all, nothing can be perfect no matter how hard I try.
Success or Failure...My family always compliments the food no matter what I serve. Thank you, family...
So, again, my gift was a meal and a bundle of flowers. I love to give flowers too.
I am so blessed to have the most beautiful, kind-hearted, and loving mother on earth... Now that I am older and wiser... I appreciate my Mother more than ever.
I recognize all the sacrifices she made throughout the years for our family, all the endless hours she spent cleaning, cooking, tending to laundry, and making our home a lovely, peaceful, and beautiful place.
She has taught me how to be the mother I am today. I could never fill her shoes but I hope one day I will come close.
Thank you, Mom, for being you. I appreciate you. I love you.
Mom, Me and the Kiddos.
Generations. Memories.
Happy Mothers Day!
