Transcript:
Hello, it's Lisa. Recently America celebrated the fourth of July, also known as Independence Day or July the 4th. A day set aside to celebrate the birth of our independence as Americans, to wave our flags, and wear something red, white, and blue. It was a historical and important day in history for our country. A day to remember. As Americans, we should never take for granted the men who died so we could have the rights to freedom. It is to these men each of us should be grateful. Their willing sacrifice for every American. They didn’t have to do it, but they did. They did it because they believed in their country and loved it enough to make a sacrifice for it. Without this unselfish, and willing sacrifice we would still be slaves to hindrances and restraints. But there is someone else who died for your freedom. He didn’t have to do it either, but He did. He did it because He loved you and believed in you. He made the ultimate sacrifice, willingly and unselfishly so you could live in total freedom. It is to this man we all should be grateful. It is to this man we should be ever in debt, His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross to forgive you of your sins, so you could live in freedom and no longer be a slave to sin. Galatians 3:13 says, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. This means you are redeemed from the curse of sin and death. In Christ, you have been given the privilege to live in freedom. Galatians 5:1, states your Christian Liberty--Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Bondage is anything that keeps you bound and tied up. Sin keeps you bound but God has set you free. John 8:36- Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. So what etiquette, beauty, or life tip can we find in freedom? Freedom is beautiful. It puts a smile on your face and a spring in your step. It allows you to discover a peace that surpasses all understanding and experience a joy unspeakable. It allows you to be all Christ has called you to be. Freedom is a choice you make. The choice to serve Jesus and make Him the Lord of your life. The choice to believe the Freedom God gave you has the power to break strongholds in your life. The power to live free from sin and experience the blessings God has for you. Did you know freedom is a benefit of salvation? When you are sure of the freedom Christ secured for you-You don't live in guilt anymore! You're not shackled by shame, or chained to condemnation! and You won't be lacking by limitations! It is by His spirit you have been set free. 2 Corinthians 3:17-Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Freedom in Christ produces inward freedom. His freedom liberates you to walk in relationship with Him and become the kind of person He created you to be. The world would say, you can be a Christian and live however you want to live, behave however you want, talk however you want, and treat others however you want, but that's not the truth. God's freedom calls you up to a higher level, it gives you the strength you need to be a true imitator of Christ and the confidence you need to walk as He walked--In love, kindness, and with compassion. Don't take your freedoms for granted as a Christian or as an American. Be confident in them. and never forget the ultimate sacrifices that were made so you and I could live in freedom. Respect God and America--for freedom is a gift. Turn your heart to God, don't you think it's time?
