It Takes Courage To Be Yourself

Nov 06, 2018

It does take courage to be yourself, but who are you really?

Do you know who you are? Do you know why you are here? Do you know your purpose and place in this life?

Most of us don't know and spend a lifetime wondering and hoping to find the answers.

Can I say something?

You can stop searching for the answers.

No matter your background, skin color, occupation, or place of birth, you are here for a reason and not by mistake. You are you because God created you.  You are in this world because God had a plan.

You are not a mistake. Male or Female. You are not a mistake.

God doesn't make mistakes. Stop blaming Him for being born a woman or a man, short or tall, an orphan, rich or poor.  He is not responsible.

We are all born into this sinful world and the curse of sin is responsible.

If you are a Christian, you belong to Christ. You have been born again and made new by God's grace.  You have been made righteous by the works of Jesus.  You don't have to do anything but accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Romans 10:9-that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

If you are confused as to who you are, then let me give you a short list.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
You are a masterpiece; created in the image of God.
You are a royal priesthood.
You are forgiven.
You are redeemed.
You are the healed of the Lord.
You are adopted into the kingdom of God and you have a heavenly father who loves and adores you.
You are above and not beneath; the first and not the last; the head and not the tail.
You have been made a new creation through Christ Jesus.
You are a victor and not a victim.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead, lives and dwells within you.
You are special.

When you know who you are, it gives you the confidence to walk with your chin up and your shoulders square to the world.

When you understand whose you are, and what you are, then it gives you the courage to be yourself.  God gives the courage you are only the vessel.

The righteous are bold as a lion. Prov. 28:1

Be courageous. Be yourself.
