Transcript:

Are you living your life in a way that would lead others to Christ? Are you standing out in a world of darkness? Are you making a difference with your life? These are just a few questions you should ask yourself each day. You should examine your behavior, your moods, your thoughts, your actions, your deeds, your motives, and your relationship with God on a daily basis. When you take the time to self-examine, you are opening a door to allow change to take place, but that change can not take place unless you are willing.  Only through self-examination and having self-awareness can you improve your life, your relationships, and your walk with Christ. Life becomes hard when you are self-centered and selfish. Instead, your life should be Christ-centered showing selflessness and using your life as a living testimony to help others. You are never too important to help and love others. The fact is you aren't important. Galatians 6:3 in the New Living Translation says it plainly, "If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important." It goes on to say in verse 5, "We are each responsible for our own conduct." If we live a life that is pleasing in the sight of the Lord, we are living a life that is capable of winning others to Christ. Christ has called us to love one another and to live our lives as He did when He was on this earth. 1 John 2:6 NLT says, "Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did."1 John 2:6 NKJV says, "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked."1 John 2:6 AMP says,"Whoever says he lives in Christ [that is, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself." I'm repeating this scripture because I think it is important to remember. If you say you are in Christ and a Christian, then you should be standing out and not blending in with the world around you and doing what society is calling the social norm. It's NOT okay to live as the world does and claim to be a Christian. Christians are called to be set apart, to be a light in a world of darkness, to make a difference with their lives, and to win others to Christ Jesus. The way you choose to live your life should be a reflection of Christ, and that reflection others see, can help lead them to His forgiveness, sufficient grace, and everlasting love. The people you are connected to isn't by chance but by divine appointment.  It's God giving you a divine opportunity to let your life and your light shine for Him.  For many, you may be the only Christ they will ever see. You are not perfect, but when you keep His commandments, His love is perfected in you. 1 John 2:5 says, "But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this, we know that we are in Him." His love gives you the strength to live your life in a way that would lead others to Christ and be a true reflection of Him.
