Look At How Far You've Come

Since 2001, when I got the vision to write an etiquette book and start a girl's ministry it has been a challenge.

I started writing chapters but it took seven years before the book was even published.

There have been a lot of adversity. A lot of tears, and a lot of times I wanted to give up, but I kept on going. Failure wasn't an option.

These are pictures from the first charm school I held in 2005.  I wasn't sure if anyone would show up, so I took a risk and stepped out in faith.  As you can see from this group photo, there were twenty-five that showed up!  God is good.

As I look back at these photos, I am reminded of how far God has brought me and this girl's ministry called Princess Charm School.

I am also reminded of the many struggles and failures I have endured, but I'm not getting stuck there.

One thing is for certain,

When you step out and start walking the red carpet of your purpose, and using your life to help others, the devil will do anything he can to pull the carpet out from under you.

He doesn't want you to accomplish your dreams, and he wants you to trip and fall in your high heels.

But God has a shield of protection and favor around you and the red carpet of your purpose isn't going anywhere. Your life has already been ordained from the foundations of the earth.

So slip on your heels, put on your sparkles, and don't give up on your dream, your vision, or your life, and keep walking the red carpet.

Only stop to reminisce for a moment to see how far you've come, to count your blessings and breakthroughs, then keep on going.

You can do it, princess, I believe in you.  You were made to sparkle.
