The Birthday Boy-Wade

Aug 07, 2018

It is hard to believe this little boy came into the world seventeen years ago today, Aug. 6th. Of course, he isn't little anymore...he is much taller now and doesn't need diapers, but he will always be mommy's little boy.

What a joy he has been to our family, and an answer to my heart's desire.

I always wanted a little boy to dress in Wranglers and a cowboy hat, and that's just what I got, and just what I did.

His bright and beautiful smile is contagious and his outgoing personality reels us in for more.

He loves hunting, fishing, riding horses, roping, shooting his bows and guns. He is a true outdoorsman, there is no doubt.

We love him. He is special and in our eyes, perfect in every way.

Perfect for our family.

His older sisters are protective of him and mother him more than I do.

His dad spends every minute he can with him, and those minutes have added up to many.

His grandparents adore him and...

...as for me-the woman who carried him in her womb for nine months, screamed like the dickens when he came into the world, and cried like a baby afterward, loves him to infinity and back and beyond...

...and to the pond and back, and to the woods and back, and to every rodeo and sporting event and back...

I think one thing is clear, this birthday boy named Wade is a blessing from heaven, a gift to our family, and a whole lot of love under one cowboy hat.

I could go mom crazy here and post a million Wade pictures, but I'll try to contain myself and end with this...

Happy Birthday my baby boy! Moma loves you.
